Ruslan Provodnikov vs Timothy Bradley rematch fight news 2015: Russian wants to face Bradley again

Despite coming off a loss just last April, Russian Ruslan Provodnikov could be fighting soon. Although there are no official names yet on who will be his next opponent, the 31-year-old boxer is looking to bounce back after a majority decision loss to Lucas Matthysse.

At that time, Provodnikov found himself with a handicap after the Russian suffered a deep cut beneath his right eye, which impaired his vision. Still and all, the loss was not something that would discourage the Russian fighter.

With no word on whether he would be in a rematch with Matthysse, former conquerors come into mind. These include Timothy Bradley Jr. and Mauricio Herrera, both to whom he lost but not by a long shot.

Of the two, Provdnikov says his priority is Bradley.

Both fighters faced off in March 2013 where Provodnikov was picked to somehow rebuild the confidence of Bradley. At that time, Desert Storm was coming off a controversial win over Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao whom he beat by split decision.

Apparently Bradley did want to get back on track, deserting his usual conservative style and starting the fight out aggressively. While it was a different approach by Bradley, it also allowed Provodnikov to do some damage as the Russian connected with hits that apparently hurt the American fighter.

Bradley did win the match eventually, deserting his aggressive stance and opting to revert to his conservative and defensive style. But at the end of the bout, Bradley did admit that he had suffered a concussion due to one of Provodnikov's hits.

Herrera is another fighter Provodnikov would love to get back at, someone he lost to via unanimous decision. But given the chance it is pretty clear that Provodnikov wants a piece of Bradley again, although all that still remains as talk.

Could it possibly happen?
