Seattle Seahawks' Russell Wilson has been inspiring fans on the football field. Now he will also be doing the same in the pages of a comic book.

The NFL star's life story will be told by STORM Comics through "Fame: Russell Wilson," and will be available in print and other digital platforms. According to the STORM Publishing website, the comic book will be written by Michael Frizell with artwork by Angelito Amaro Bernuy and Chris Canibano.

The story will take readers back to the start of Wilson's career when he used to play football for the University of Wisconsin before he became the star quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks. His steady rise in the world of football is deemed remarkable, having been named rookie of the year back in 2012 after he led his team to their first Super Bowl Victory. He is now enjoying a four-year contract worth $87.6 million.

Although he could not claim to know the personal lives of football players, Frizell said there is something about Wilson's life story that will touch the hearts of readers.

"I'm not a football fan, I'll admit it," Frizell admitted. "Prior to researching Russell Wilson, the only football biography I ever read was on Joe Namath, but there was something that grabbed me about Wilson's story. I found him to be fascinating. I'm certain you will, too."

Publisher Darren G. Davis added that he wasn't always a comic book fan, but the "exciting mix of words and pictures" eventually got to him. "Once, I was a reluctant reader, but my attraction to the form was undeniable. I hope that other reluctant readers find the joy I do in reading comic books and graphic novels," he said.

Davis could not think of a better subject than Wilson, and he hopes that the Christian footballer would convert many more people into becoming comic book fans. "STORM Comics's mission is to tell compelling stories," said Davis. "Wilson's story is certainly compelling."

Other athletes STORM Publishing have featured in the past include Alex Rodriguez, Jackie Robinson, and David Beckham.
