'Sabrina' series cast news, update: 'Riverdale' creator teases Harvey Kinkle character to be on 'Sabrina'
For those who are excited to see the reboot of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," another bomb has been dropped. Harvey Kinkle, Sabrina's love interest, is going to be in the much-awaited series.
Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the writer for the upcoming series, hints that the ultimate heartthrob in "Sabrina," Harvey, will be on the show as seen on his Instagram post. Aguirre-Sacasa, who is also the creator of the popular "Archie" adaptation series "Riverdale," posted the script of Sabrina for the show, which is based on his comic book titled "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina."

With what seems like a more upfront Sabrina perceived from the uploaded script, it can be expected that the witch will be more truthful and confident in speaking what is on her mind. The first few lines of the script are a revelation of Sabrina to Harvey of where she came from and the reason why she cannot attend the Halloween party.
Also, Jon Goldwater, the executive producer for both "Riverdale" and "Sabrina," at the New York Comic-Con said, "It's a heck of a lot darker, more dramatic, and it has tons of action and adventure." He also divulged details on the lead teenage witch, announcing that the casting has already started.
"Riverdale" has taken a darker route, a clear departure from the fun-filled 90s comics "Archie." So, fans are now expecting that "Sabrina" will have the same fate as "Riverdale's" — darker and more serious. Because "Riverdale" and "Sabrina" were set in the same universe, a crossover is likely, as with other shows nowadays.
The original "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" series is about the life of 16-year-old Sabrina Spellman, who lives with her aunts who are also witches. The show tackles how Sabrina faces her identity as a witch and discovers new powers, while receiving guidance from Salem, her talking cat, and her aunts. Sabrina was originally played by Melissa Joan Hart while Harvey was played by Nate Richert.
