Versatile big man DeMarcus Cousins has been linked to trade deals for some time now and a number of teams are really interested in landing the Sacramento Kings star but in a recent report by ESPN, team president Vivek Ranadive does not want to deal him away.

The Kings have a new head coach in the veteran George Karl who said last April that everyone on the team is a subject to trading.

A source told ESPN's Chris Broussard that since his appointment as head coach, Karl was given authority in making draft pick and trade decisions.

But according to Broussard's source, Ranadive does not want to part ways with the 24-year-old center.

"We have no interest in moving him. From my perspective, it's really simple: We feel that he's a one-of-a-kind player, and we have a group of players right now and we're going to build on it," Ranadive told USA Today Monday.

Kings vice president of basketball and franchise operations Vlade Divac told the Sacramento Bee that no trade deal for Cousins will be happening but a smaller deal is something to consider.

One of the teams heavily interested in acquiring Cousins are the Los Angeles Lakers who are looking for a player who will help them have a quick turnaround following two disastrous seasons.

Reports say the Lakers are willing to trade last year's seventh overall pick Julius Randle, who missed the season after an injury suffered in their first regular season game, with their No. 2 pick in this year's draft.

Los Angeles' outstanding rookie guard Jordan Clarkson's name is also being involved in rumored trade offers by the Lakers for Cousins.

Along with the Lakers, the Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets are among other teams interested in Cousins.

A trade with the Nuggets is also not far from happening since according to Broussard's source, Karl who was the former head coach in Denver is interested in point guard Ty Lawson and forward Kenneth Faried.

Although Broussard reported that Karl is also interested in trading forward Rudy Gay for Lawson.
