Rajon Rondo will be starting an entirely new chapter of his career when he (expectedly) starts at the point guard position for the Sacramento Kings in the coming NBA season.

Rondo has been through injury and of course a forgettable time with the Dallas Mavericks. But it seems that all these have not dampened the spirits of the 29-year-old guard who has his best years with the Boston Celtics.

After that much celebrated spat with Dallas head coach Rick Carlisle, Rondo seems to have moved on from the incident. And his focus right now is to recall his form and help new head coach George Karl and star DeMarcus Cousins churn up a credible season despite the not-so-kind criticism thrown their way.

"There's been a lot of naysayers, a lot of doubters my entire career, even the day I got drafted. So I love proving people wrong" says Rondo in an interview with the Boston Globe.

Despite all the expected flak, it seems Rondo has learned to ignore and take them all in stride. Rather the indulge on the negative vibes, Rondo seems to have mellowed down and gotten his head intact as the Kings try to weather a whirlwind of criticism that is not limited to Rondo only.

Everyone knows that issue the Kings have right now concerning Karl and Cousins but it seems that the two will have to bury the hatchet (at some point) and get on the same page.

Cousins is not going anywhere and Karl will have to live with that at least for the time-being. It comes short of saying that between the two, team owner Vivek Ranadivé would rather fire Karl than trade his prized forward.

With all the adversity on the Kings right now, Rondo may want to recall his veteran smarts and leadership to settle things down. Despite being signed up for a year, Rondo could be the stabilizer the team would need heading into the 2015-16 NBA Season.
