Aside from being a reality star, fashion model and motivational speaker, "Duck Dynasty" star Sadie Robertson is also adding fiction writer to her growing list of occupations.

Robertson has co-written the novel "Life Just Got Real" together with Cindy Coloma. Speaking to Fox News, she said the book was a good platform for her to share God's Word.

She said the book is based on her life before and after "Duck Dynasty." There are two main characters in the book that represent her, "but I think they do more than just that since "they represent every girl right now in the world that [goes] through the struggles that girls go through," she said.

Robertson admitted that it was her mother who encouraged her to pen her own novel. She was intimidated to do so at first, but after talking to Coloma, the ideas just started pouring in.

"My mom came to me and she's like, 'Sadie, I think you should write fiction because I think you can relate to a whole new audience in middle school, high school and college girls,'" Robertson shared. "And at first I thought, 'Mom, you're crazy there's no way I can do that.' But I sat down with a co-author and we started talking."

"Life Just Got Real," which was released on June 7, follows the lives of fashionista Kate Kelly and tomboy A.J. Smith. The two teenage girls have different personalities and lifestyles, and they also come from different parts of Tennessee. Try as they might to avoid one another, it seems like God wants to bring the two girls together.

"Kate's brother Val is drawn to A.J., and when prom comes around, he asks her to be his date — much to his sister's displeasure. But Kate has bigger things to think about, including the reality show Real Life," a description of the book on the website of publisher Simon and Schuster reads. "Everyone says the show is her chance to make it big. But then the producers decide to bring A.J. into the show."

"As the producers of Real Life try to stir up the drama, Kate's idea of the perfect prom spins out of control. When Kate's life goes disastrously wrong, it is A.J. who steps up to help — no questions asked," the description continues. "A friendship between the two girls just might grow — but only if they both live original and stay true to whom God made them to be."
