In line with the upcoming holiday everyone is excited about, Sony released a list of games that will surely get fans in the Halloween mood. Players will be in for a treat because there are some great discounts on the promo, like deals that slash up to 50 percent off of the original price. 

Dubbed as the "Sale of the Dead," the sale showcases some frightening games for PlayStation 4, PS3, and PS Vita in the weeks leading to Halloween. Some of the great finds on the discounted wide-ranging PS4 games include the following: "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" complete edition for $24.99; "Dying Light: The Following" enhanced edition for $23.99; "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" for $35.99; "Killing Floor 2" for $16; and "What Remains of Edith Finch" for $13.

PS3 players can also find games that are worth spending on. The PS3 deals include these games: "Dead Space" at $7.49; "Resident Evil: Revelations" at $7.99; and "Dead Island" game of the year edition at $9.99. Owners of PS Vita can avail of "Silent Hill: Book of Memories" for $10.49, "Salt and Sanctuary" for $10.79, and "Corpse Party" for $9.99.

Aside from these spooky games, some EA Sports games are also part of the sale. "NBA Live 18: The One Edition" sells for $29.99, a big drop from its original price of $59.99. Also available are the "Madden NFL 18" standard edition at $40.19 and the "NHL 18" young stars edition at $53.59.

Players can check out the full list of the games on sale on PlayStation Store, as there are many titles to choose from. Aside from the games, Sony is also offering some video deals, which include movies that are perfect to watch before Halloween arrives. Movie buffs can watch "The Cabin in the Woods" ($1.99), "The Conjuring 2" ($6.99), and "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" ($9.99).

The first week of the Sale of the Dead stared on Oct. 17 and will last until Oct. 24, 11 a.m. EDT.
