Samsung Chromebook Pro release date news, specs rumors: Laptop lands on Oct. 24

South Korean tech-giant Samsung is speculated to launch its own Chromebook laptop soon, and rumors suggest that the new laptop will boasts a set of features that will go well against competing laptops such as the MacBook Pro.

Despite Samsung's current marketing dilemma due to the downfall of the infamous Note 7, the South Korean company continues to get Samsung fans hyped over their upcoming phones and laptops for 2017 including the Galaxy C9, the Galaxy S8, and their new Chromebook laptop that is speculated to surpass other competing 2-in-1 tablets available in the market. 

The upcoming Samsung Chromebook is said so come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display that allows major flexibility due to its 360-degree hinge. The Chromebook's display is said to sport a resolution 2400 x 1600 pixels and a brightness of 400 nits.

The Chromebook will also feature a new stylus dubbed "PEN." The laptop is also speculated to be built with an aluminum frame that has a built-in slot for its "PEN" stylus.

Though there isn't any official news yet as to what equipment will be put into the Samsung Chromebook, the laptop is speculated to possess 4 GB of RAM backed up by a 2GHz hexa-core Rockship processor. What's more is that since the Samsung Chromebook will run on Google's OS, the laptop will allow its users to download and play android apps from the Google Play Store.

Other features of the Samsung Chromebook include 32 GB of internal storage, USB Type-C ports, an SD card slot, an analog headphone jack, and a battery that can last up to 10 hours of use when fully charged.

Though there are no official news yet as to when the Samsung Chromebook will be available in the market, the device is speculated to come out with a price tag of $499 USD with a rumored release date of Oct. 24.
