It is expected that the 2017 editions of the Samsung Galaxy A series will come out soon, as supposed reveals keep on cropping up. The latest speculations suggest that one iteration, the 2017 Galaxy A5, will be offered in at least four color options.

According to supposed leaker Roland Quandt, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) will become available in Black, Gold, Pink and Blue color options. The Blue option will be a new replacement, since the current edition of the iteration is available in Black, White, Gold, and Pink. Meanwhile, it is unclear what hue will the new option take. It is likely that the Blue color for the Galaxy A5 (2017) will be similar to the Blue Coral design that Samsung has recently added to its handset flagship, the Galaxy S7.

Meanwhile, aside from the color options, there are also improvements to the 2017 edition of the Samsung Galaxy A5. According to a supposed specs list, the new iteration will feature an Exynos 7880 chipset, paired with 3 GB of RAM under the hood. In addition, there will be 16 GB of onboard memory, expected to be expandable for up to 256 GB via microSD support. Other supposed specs and features include a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD resolution, a 13-megapixel main camera, and at least 3,000 mAh battery.

As to when fans can expect the 2017 Samsung Galaxy A5, it is said that the whole lineup, including the new Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A7, will come out soon. The entire series has supposedly already passed a number of certifications, hinting at an imminent release.

However, it is unclear if the entire series will have a global launch. It is expected that the Galaxy A series will first be region-exclusive devices, and will then be launched in other regions. On the other hand, some regions may likely favor one 2017 iteration over another. In Europe, it is said that only the 2017 Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 will be released.
