Samsung is reportedly working on several successors for its A-series smartphones. One of them is the Galaxy A7 2017 version, and a GFXBench result revealed some of the hardware specification that fans can expect when it is released towards the end of 2016.

The GFXBench test result showed that an alleged Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 with model number SM-A720x carries a 5.5-inch screen that offers a 1920 x 1080 p screen resolution. It is powered by an octa-core processor chip, a Cortex A53 that has a clock speed of 1.8 GHZ. It is then paired with 3 GB of RAM and contains 32 GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Samsung's own user interface.

Additionally, it also contains a 16-MP for both back and front cameras, capable of recording Full HD videos. The main camera also features autofocus, face detection, LED flash, and touch focus. The connectivity options include Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi, while sensors comprise of a gyroscope, accelerometer, pedometer, barometer, proximity, and light. No other details are included in the test result page.

GSM Arena took notice of its cameras being both rated at 16-MP. Benchmarking apps could possibly make a mistake occasionally, but it rarely happens with GFXBench. If this proves to be true, the front camera shows a big upgrade from its predecessor, which only contains a 5-MP selfie cam.

Price Raja added that the processor will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon one and mentioned a possibility that it could arrive with a fingerprint scanner embedded in its home button as well.

Last year's model contains a Snapdragon 614 chipset, 3 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256 GB via a MicroSD card. It also came with 13-MP main camera and 5-MP front camera. The device was offered in the colors black, white, gold, and pink.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 is expected to be unveiled before the year ends.
