While a global launch seems imminent for the 2017 Samsung Galaxy A series, it seems that the new releases will still be region-exclusive.

According to speculations, the 2017 Galaxy A7 will likely be released in the regions that have gotten the current-gen Galaxy A7. Should this happen, it is highly possible that Europe will not be getting the upcoming follow-up.

Supposed listing from the website of Samsung Austria has given a hint on this non-release. Allegedly, the listing features some of the compatible devices for the newly-launched Gear S3, Samsung's new flagship wearable. The smartwatch is already released in Europe, and based on its devices list, the 2017 editions of the Samsung Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are included in compatible smartphones.

However, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) is not in the list. As an upcoming release and the step-up variant in the series, the upcoming Galaxy A7 should've been included in the compatible devices list. Its absence is a hint that the release will likely be unavailable in the region. When the current 2016 edition of the Samsung Galaxy A7 released late last year, it was only launched in select markets and Europe was not included in the list.

As to when fans can expect the new 2017 Samsung Galaxy A7, the South Korea-based tech giant has yet to come out with confirmed details on the release date. However, since the devices under the lineup have already gotten certifications, and with the amount of supposed leaks already available, it is said that the new Samsung Galaxy A series will come out soon. Should Samsung stick to its yearly cycle refresh, the upcoming iterations are likely to come out next month at the earliest, since the 2016 editions of the lineup came out in December last year.

The 2017 edition of the Galaxy A7 is expected to come out with upgrades and improvements, such as a newer Exynos 7780 chipset, 3 GB of RAM, and a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD resolution.
