The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) has been allegedly spotted on GFXBench. The Samsung phone with model number SM-A810 will reportedly be sporting an Exynos processor and is said to arrive with a 5.1-inch display screen.

The processor for the rumored Galaxy A8 (2016) is an octa-core Exynos 7420 chipset and is coupled with 3GB of RAM. The graphics will be handled by the incorporated Mali-T760 MP8 (octa core) GPU, while the phone's internall memory is pegged at 32GB. The bench result does not indicate a memory card slot, but there is a big possibility that the South Korean tech giant will include one when it gets released, with a capacity of 256GB, similar to last year's model.

Its screen will be offering a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, while the main camera will have a 16MP sensor and the front-facing will have a 5MP one. Both snappers are reportedly capable of taking Full HD (1920 x 1080p) videos. It will also run with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.

Zauba revealed the phone's price tag is around US$205.

WCCFTech added that there is a possibility that the still-unannounced phone will be featuring a Super AMOLED screen, which will help in conserving the battery life, as well as a bigger battery capacity compared to the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Speaking of the Galaxy S6, its processor is also the Exynos 7420. So, the upcoming phone is basically a Galaxy S6 clone without the icing.

Although the Galaxy A8's chipset is capable of recording 4K videos, Samsung will reportedly be locking the recording to a 1080p only and this might have something to do with the camera sensor.

There is also no information available on the phone's release date, but it may arrive later this month or around September. Last year, the Galaxy A8 version was released in July.
