Supposed leaks suggest that the upcoming 2016 edition of the Samsung Galaxy A8 will have several premium features such as the new Grace UX and Samsung Pay support.

According to SamMobile, a leaked user manual of the new device points out that the mid-ranger is supposed to have some features currently found in top-tier Samsung flagships. It should be noted that the new Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) will come out featuring the new Grace UX and Samsung Pay support. The former has been introduced as a unique feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. However, even with the Grace UX installed, the new iteration is still expected to come out only with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 onboard. Nonetheless, the Galaxy A8 (2016) may still be upgraded to Android Nougat since it is a late 2016 release. Meanwhile, having Samsung Pay support means that the new Galaxy A8 will have NFC option.

Aside from the top-tier features, some of the specs list an above-average performance for the new Galaxy A8 (2016), a surprising piece of news since the lineup is only a mid-range one. Under the hood, the new edition is reportedly powered by an Exynos 7420 chipset, which is the flagship chipset for Samsung's previous-generation iterations. It will be paired with 3 GB of RAM. In addition, there will be some changes to its design. Supposedly, the 2016 edition of the Galaxy A8 will have a top-tier body upgrade. Instead of an all-metal chassis like its predecessor, the upcoming iteration will have a glass back, similar to the bodies of some of Samsung's flagship series.

Meanwhile, the rest of the specs are of the standard mid-range, such as 32 GB of onboard storage, a 5.7-inch display with full HD resolution, and a 16-MP main camera. Its selfie shooter is pegged to have a 5-MP setup. In addition, it is expected that the new iteration will come out with at least 3,500 mAh battery.
