Although Samsung has yet to officially add a fourth addition to its Galaxy A lineup (the company has only announced three models, the 2016 editions of the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and the Galaxy A7), speculations have already floated online about the much-rumored Galaxy A9.

Allegedly, the fourth addition will be in the phablet category. According to Gadgets 360, a promotional video for the Galaxy A9 has leaked online, showing the upcoming phablet being compared in size and dimensions with the upcoming 2016 Galaxy A7.

Looking at the video, it can be seen that the Galaxy A9 will have a 6-inch display, as opposed to the Galaxy A7's 5.5-inch screen. The industry follower also added that although there is a size difference between the two, both lineups will sport Super AMOLED panels with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution. In addition, both the Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A9 will have an all-metal aluminum build as well as identical form factor and design.

Meanwhile, Phone Arena mentioned that aside from outward appearances, the Galaxy A9 is also likely tipped as an above-average, rather than a premium, device (consistent with the Galaxy A-series). Reportedly, the new Samsung addition will carry an octa-core Snapdragon 620 processor with at least 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, and 13-MP/8-MP cameras on the back and front.

It is also reportedly coming with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop right out of the box. In addition, it is also rumored that to compensate for the large and bright screen, the Galaxy A9 will feature a massive 4,000-mAh battery.

The industry follower also stated that that while Samsung has yet to officially unveil the device, the Galaxy A9 might debut later this month or early next year in China, costing around $450.
