Samsung is rumored to drop its Galaxy S line as the alleged premium smartphone Samsung Galaxy F emerged online.

Reliable tipster @evleaks published two images of the Galaxy F handset with metal casing. One of the images looks like an image from a press release as it clearly shows the metal back cover along with the back camera that looks like the rear shooter of Samsung Galaxy S5. The second image showed the front side of the device but is slightly blurred. However, the front is not consistent with the design of the Galaxy S5. Thus, this hinted that this is a completely different phone.

@evleaks posted "This is the Samsung Galaxy F, claims a tipster. It's said to be a 5.3-inch QHD, [Snapdragon] 805-powered /replacement/ for the Galaxy S line, meaning there would be no S6. Allegedly launching at an 'Unpacked Ep 2." The tipster also said that the rumor is "completely unconfirmed, unverified, unsubstantiated."

Meanwhile, the company will soon unveil the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime, which is dubbed as the premier smartphone. However, based on the rumored specs and features, it will be similar to Active or rugged version of previous Galaxy S devices.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime was rumored to pack a 5.2 inch screen display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. The Galaxy S5 variant will also pack a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor. Reports also claimed that Samsung's new handset will be powered by 810 chipset. Moreover, the handset will also pack an Adreno 420 graphics chip as well as a 3GB of RAM for faster processing.

The device will run with the latest Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS and will be available in 16GB and 32GB with external storage via microSD slot. At the back, Samsung's smartphone was rumored to pack a 16MP camera and 2MP front facing camera. However, Samsung has not confirmed any of the rumors yet.
