The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 2016 version was reportedly spotted again on the benchmarking website Geekbench. The device also gets an approval from the Federal Communications Commission or FCC. These latest developments for the device also mean that it will be rolling out soon.

A recent post on Geekbench for model Samsung SM-G532F has reconfirmed the Grand Prime 2016. The latest test result showed that the upcoming device will be powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6737T chipset with a clock speed of 1.44 GHz. It is then paired with 2 GB of RAM and loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow mobile operating system. Times News added that the previous GFXBench result showed a 5-inch display with 540 x 960 screen resolution, an 8-MP rear camera and a 5-MP selfie camera up front. It could also have 8 GB of internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card slot, and a 2,600 mAh battery.

According to GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime has passed through the U.S. FCC, and it will have a designated ID of A3LSMG532F. It also revealed two phone models, SM-G532F/DS and SM-G532F. The DS connotes a dual-SIM variant. It will also arrive with 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth LE, and WiFi IEEE 802.11b/g/n (2.4 GHz) connectivity options.

The original Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime was introduced back in October 2014, and it has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. It also came with 8 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 64 GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

The old model's screen properties are almost similar to the rumored one, a 5-inch screen, 540 x 960 resolution and a 220 ppi pixel density. The device came with a 2,600 mAh battery which could last up to 17 hours of 3G talk time and up to 75 hours of music entertainment.
