South Korean multinational electronics company Samsung recently launched the Samsung Galaxy J5 and the Samsung Galaxy J7 mid-range smartphones in the Chinese market. Before that, the company launched the Samsung Galaxy J1 handset, the first member of the J-series family, last February.

Recently, a new variant of the Samsung Galaxy J1 called "J1 Pop" has been leaked in the Netherlands, according to reports, and was later renamed the "J1 Ace". International Business Times AU reports that the leaks appeared on Dutch retail website Nieuwemobiel.nl.

The rumors say the new Galaxy J1 Ace is expected to be released in the Netherlands on July 30. In terms of the specs and features, International Business Times AU added that the Galaxy J1 Ace would not have much of a difference from the original J1.

The new J1 Ace might just come with minor changes to the hardware specs and will run on the new Android operating system.

The original Samsung Galaxy J1 handset sports a 4.3 TFT display screen with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution. It runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat version operating system and is powered by the Spreadtrum processor along with dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and mali-400 GPU.

The Galaxy J1 has a 5 mega pixel rear-facing camera and a 2 mega pixel front-facing camera. There's 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory storage and an 1850 mAh battery. The colors available for the phone are black, white and blue.

Another variant of the original Samsung Galaxy J1 is the Galaxy J1 4G, which was launched just last March. For the J1 Ace, not much is known yet about the specs and features, but it might cost around €100, according to Softpedia.

The Samsung Galaxy J, a smartphone which works on the Android platform, was originally developed for Japan's Carrier DoCoMo in the fall of 2013, and the overseas version was initially released in Taiwan in December 2013.
