While most fans may be focusing on Samsung's top-tier flagship releases, the South Korea-based company is keen on covering a wider range of the market and will reportedly also offer a new mid-range iteration in the new edition of the Galaxy J5.

The 2016 version seems to be coming out soon, as supposed images of the Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 make their way online.

According to GSM Arena, a German website first spotted the images, highlighting the design and body profile of the upcoming addition in the Samsung Galaxy J series of phones. The new image leak confirms earlier rumors that the new iteration will sport an all-metal frame, which is also indicated in a previous user manual leak.

The industry follower stated that since the 2016 Galaxy J5 will sport an all-metal body, it will clearly have a premium feel and look, although the lineup is Samsung's budget-friendly series. It will also be the first time that Samsung will use an all-metal chassis for an entry-level handset.

Meanwhile, another hint that the 2016 Samsung Galaxy J5 will come out soon is that the iteration is among the devices that have already received certifications. In a report by SamMobile, it was mentioned that together with the Galaxy J7 (2016), this year's Galaxy J5 has already passed the Bluetooth SIG certification, and other certifications will definitely follow. Just recently, the 2016 Galaxy J lineup was spotted acing the TENAA certification.

The certification listed the 2016 Galaxy J5 as having a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with 720p resolution, a Snapdragon 410 chipset, and 2 GB of RAM.

Although Samsung has yet to come out with a definite release date for the 2016 Galaxy J series, it is expected that the Galaxy J5 will appear by mid-year, much like how Samsung launched their entry-level lineups in the past.
