The official user manuals for the purported Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 2016 were recently leaked, showing that the new iterations of Samsung's mid-range phones will don metal frames.

Previous renders and leaks of the Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 2016 also showed that the smartphones will indeed have metal for frames. This hints that Samsung will have a stroke of premium to them despite their midrange insides.

This is also a breath of fresh air for fans of the Galaxy J family. Last year's Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 had polycarbonate frames. Samsung is upping its game on the design front by incorporating metal.

Simply put, the leaked manual indicates that Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 2016 will be the first budget-friendly offerings from the South Korea-based tech giant with quality metal rims.

Fans of removable batteries would love to know that the new additions of the Galaxy J family will allow users to change batteries so they won't have to worry about juicing up the handsets or losing power.

Another take-away from the manuals involves the release pattern Samsung will go with for the pair of handsets. The manuals were intended for the handsets coming to China Mobile and China Telecom, which hints that the new iterations of the Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 will be released in the region before other markets.

Users will remember that the original versions of the Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 were made available first to China last year before they landed on other regions. It looks like the 2016 versions will follow the same scheme.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 recently appeared in a TENAA listing. The former was shown to have a 5.2-inch 720p Super AMOLED display and an unidentified quad-core processor.

It has 2GB RAM to boot and 16GB of expandable storage. The device also has a 13MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and laser autofocus. On the front is a 5MP shooter.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 will reportedly come in two versions but the only difference is the clock speed of the octa-core processors they are getting.

The rest of the specs sheet will be the same for the different versions – a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED screen, the same camera combo with the Galaxy J5 2015, 3GB RAM and 16GB microSD card-ready storage.

Both the Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 and the Galaxy J7 2016 have Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. With their recent sightings, it is believed they will be launched soon.
