Samsung's J series is getting bigger and soon, the Samsung Galaxy J1 will finally meet its kin and so would the tech community. Just recently, the company announced the Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J7, the other models related to the February-released 4.3-inch handset.

The likely specs of the upcoming devices are now known, thanks to the ardent chomping of rumor mills. The Galaxy J5 will be smaller than the Galaxy J7 but bigger than the Galaxy J1. It will come with a 5-inch HD display while its big brother's screen will measure 5.5 inches. Despite being the larger handset, the Samsung Galaxy J7 will be thinner than the Galaxy J5. The former will come with a 7.9 mm body, while the latter will be 8.5 mm thick.

Under the hood, the Galaxy J5 will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor along with 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB expandable memory. In the GFXBench website, the J5 handset was shown to pack 1.4 GB memory and 4.7 GB storage.

As for the J7, Samsung will use a 1.5 GHz or 1.2 GHz octa-core Marvel processor. The device will get 4 GB and 8 GB models but with the same RAM size. It will also run Android 5.1 Lollipop, the latest build of Google's newest operating system.

Camera-wise, the aforementioned website revealed that the Samsung Galaxy J5 will sport a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera as well as a 4.7-megapixel shooter on the front. Samsung is said to be going for a 13-megapixel primary snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for the Galaxy J7.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 will be packing a 2600 mAh battery while the Galaxy J7 will be drawing its power from a 3000 mAh battery unit. There is still no word about the pricing and release date for the latest entries of the mid-range Samsung lineup but more details should be pouring out soon.
