It seems that Samsung will be outing two new mid-range devices soon. Aside from a new Galaxy J5 appearing online, it is now being said that there is also a 2016 edition of the Galaxy J7 on the way, based on images currently appearing online.

A Germany-based industry follower managed to get the supposed official images of the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016, and if the leaked photos are proven to be the official set, then the new Galaxy J7 is confirmed to be coming out anytime soon.

Based on the images, the new Galaxy J7 will be a slightly larger version of its predecessor. However, the same design and body profile make the new Galaxy J7 a clone of its previous version, as the design features the same contours, button placements, and slim profile.

According to Sam Mobile, the new leak supports previous speculations about the new Galaxy J7 making its way to fans this year. The rumored handset was previously seen passing through the FCC. In the listing, it was revealed that the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 will feature a 5.5-inch display, slightly larger than the 5.2-inch screen of the original Galaxy J7 launched last year. In addition to a larger display, this year's iteration is reported to carry an octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset paired with 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD support.

Since the 2016 edition is likely to be released mid-year, it is speculated that it will carry Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box. Other rumored specs of the new Samsung Galaxy J7 include a 13MP snapper on the back and a 5MP selfie camera. There will also be an above-average, 3,300 mAh battery onboard.

Meanwhile, although the new Samsung Galaxy J7 leak online is for the Chinese market, Android Authority predicts that Samsung will eventually opt for a global release, as what it did with last year's Galaxy J handsets.
