Samsung is said to be working on several J series smartphones that will be released in 2017. The latest model uncovered is the alleged Galaxy J7. It appeared on India's import-export website, Zauba.

The Zauba listing contains a sample of the Samsung mobile phone set, and it caught the attention of tech watchers. The unit with a model number of SM-J727V is believed to be of the upcoming Galaxy J7, Price Raja reported.

Unfortunately, the captured image of the listing reveals nothing relevant, except an INR 13,686 ($205) price tag. The price information is indirectly related to the market price.

It is expected that the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 will offer a 5.5-inch display screen with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Performance wise, it could be powered by the company's own Exynos chipset, and it may carry around 3 GB of RAM. Others suggest that the front and rear would carry a 13-MP camera, while some reports speculate that a 13-MP main camera and an 8-MP sensor could also be loaded with the alleged phone. A large 3,000 mAh battery is also rumored to be included.

For comparison, the current Galaxy J7 contains a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED with a Full HD (1080p) screen resolution. Either a Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 or an Exynos 7870, depending on the region, powers it. Both chips are octa-core and have a clock speed of 1.6 GHz. This is then accompanied by 2 GB of RAM.

The mid-range smartphone also comes with 16 GB onboard storage as well as dedicated a microSD card slot for further expansion of up to 256 GB. It has a 13-MP main camera and a 5-MP secondary one, both with LED flashes and f/1.9 aperture.

Connectivity includes a dual SIM 4G LTE with VoLTE, NFC, b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. It also has a removable 3,300mAh battery that offers up to 23 hours talk time on a 3G network and up to 96 hours of music entertainment.

The existence of the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 is not yet confirmed, but it is expected to be made one soon.
