Samsung Galaxy J3 gets FCC certified; Galaxy A5 successor stars in benchmark test

Samsung is working on quite a lot of smartphones, with majority of those already tipped by rumor mills. Just recently, two alleged handsets from the South Korea-based tech firm were leaked – the first one is the purported Galaxy J3 and the other is said to be an A5 successor.

Shortly after it starred in a Geekbench listing, the former apparently stopped by FCC to get certified. Not much was revealed in its visit there although the fact that it passed means that it is close to a launch. On the other hand, the benchmark test exposed its midrange-level specs sheet.

Apparently, the Samsung Galaxy J3 has a 5-inch 720p display. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor is running the show with the help of 1GB worth of RAM. It has an 8-GB storage space, which is thankfully expandable with a microSD.

It has an 8-MP shooter on the back and a 5-MP camera on the front. It is expected that it will be pre-loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow although during the benchmark test, it was justifiably running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Meanwhile, the alleged Samsung Galaxy A5 successor is closely following the footsteps of the J3. The device also swung by GFX Bench benchmark test, showing off some of its valued specs, which made known the fact that of the two, this A5 sequel is the premium one.

According to its listing on the benchmark test, the device comes in a 5.2-inch full-HD display, with a Samsung Exynos 7 processor powering it up. The 2-GB RAM helps out in boosting its performance as well as the 16GB of inbuilt storage integrated in it.

The follow-up to the Samsung Galaxy A5 sports a 13-MP rear-facing camera complete with LED flash and a 5-MP selfie snapper, both prepped up for full HD video capture. It wouldn't be surprising if the device pops round FCC as well.

At the moment, there's no word on the release date or the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy J3 and the A5 successor.
