Samsung Galaxy Note 4 features will include a curved or bendable screen display, according to a Samsung executive.

Wall Street Journal reported that executive vice president of Samsung's mobile business Lee Younghee said that the successor of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 may include a bendable display, which has been in the rumors of the phablet. However, he also said that the company has not decided yet what kind of screen to use. This implied that the device is far from production stage.

It has been revealed that Samsung is still toying with various ideas for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 screen and one of the options is a curved touchscreen. If this rumor proved to be true, a lot of considerations shall be made in Samsung Galaxy Note 4's specs and features. Moreover, a lot of things must be finalized yet as a curved touchscreen would mean drastic changes on the design, built and internal specs of the device.

Meanwhile, aside from a qHD touchscreen panel, which is rumored to be 5.7 inches in size, the phablet was also rumored to pack a 64-bit CPU paired with up to 4GB of RAM. Also, aside from the usual 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will come with a 128 model this year. At the back, the device will pack a 20.7 megapixels camera.

Latest reports claimed that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date will be on its usual launch window in September at the IFA trade show in Berlin on Sept. 4 to 20. Last year, the current Note 3 was released alongside Galaxy Gear, the company's first smartwatch. This year, Samsung is rumored to release another wearable dubbed the Galaxy Glass, which is similar to Google Glass.

"Samsung is considering holding a launch event of the Note 4 at the IFA trade fair. It is in the middle of finalising specification details for the upcoming phablet," a Samsung official told The Korea Times.
