Alleged premium smartphone Samsung Galaxy F release date may come soon as new images of the device leaked online.

Phone Arena get hold of new photos of the first Samsung Galaxy smartphone with metal casing that teased the consumers for the imminent launch of the alleged smartphone. The purported photos of Samsung Galaxy F show the pre-production version of the handset with a metal back plate in two tones – black and silver. Earlier snaps of the device were published by reliable tipster @evleaks.

According to the unnamed source cited by the report, the handset has an asymmetric design with a more rounded top end and that the Samsung Galaxy F is a tad smaller compared to Samsung's current flagship smartphone – Galaxy S5.

The report also revealed that the handset will pack a Snapdragon 805 processor. The prototype of the device that leaked earlier sported a less powerful Snapdragon 801 from Qualcomm. However, it is expected that the final version of the handset that will hit the stores will include a more powerful chipset.

Other rumored features of the handset include a 5.3 inch 1440 x 2560 QHD screen display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. At the back, the handset will boast a 16MP camera with OIS. Just like its brother, the Samsung Galaxy F will be IP 67 certified, which means it is waterproof.

Samsung fans demanded a smartphone with metal built since many criticized Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5 revealed to be packing the same, old plastic body. Samsung rivals like Apple and HTC offer handsets with metal casing.

Rumors claimed that the premium smartphone from Samsung will arrive in September, which suggested that the device will be released alongside Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Samsung's phablet was rumored to make an appearance at the IFA tech event in Berlin in September.
