Galaxy Note 4 release date at IFA 2014 with curved display feature

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date is set to take place at the IFA 2014 event and will boast a curved screen display.

People and the media are turning their attention to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and it is persistently rumored that the next generation of Samsung's phablet will pack a curved screen display.

Korea's media outlet The Korea Times reported that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date has been scheduled for IFA 2014 in September, which has been the launching platform of Samsung Galaxy Note series in the past two years. The report added that the device will be released alongside other Samsung devices such as a new series of curved OLED TVs, another Samsung wearable dubbed as Gear Glass as well as the next generation of the company's smartwatch - Samsung Galaxy Gear. There were also rumors that Samsung's premium smartphone Samsung Galaxy F will be launched in September.

The Korean news source also stated that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available in two variants: one with the standard AMOLED display with flat screen, and the other model will also sport the same AMOLED screen but with a curved display. This is not the first time that Samsung will pack a curved screen. The company introduced the display when it released the Galaxy Round.

It was initially speculated that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will sport a YOUM-like screen, which is a foldable screen that bends over the other. This is fueled by the confirmation of Samsung officials in the past that the Galaxy Note 4 will have a new form factor.

Other rumored features of the next generation of Samsung's phablet are: Snapdragon 805 SoC with four Krait 450 cores clocked at 2.7 GHz and Adreno 420 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, and an upgraded S Pen stylus. The smartphone will also pack a 16 MP ISOCELL back camera. Lastly, the phablet will run with Android 4.4.3 or Android 4.5/5.0 out of the box.
