The Galaxy Note 3

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date is pegged for Sept. 3 and will feature an improved S-Pen with additional functions.

Samsung released a new teaser of the upcoming phablet for the waiting fans. One of the distinctive features of Galaxy Note 4 is its S-Pen stylus, which has been one of its selling points. In Galaxy Note 3, Samsung enabled the device for the pen-and-paper notes to be converted.

In the new teaser, it obviously highlighted the handwriting function of the S-Pen. One can expect that handwriting function will be one of the main features to be shown in the upcoming phablet.

According to rumors, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will come with a quadHD screen display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution, 64-bit processor, Android 4.4.3 Kitkat operating system, 3GB RAM, and 3 megapixel front-facing camera. The handset was reported to be available in two variants with different processors - the international variant will come with Exynos chipset and the unit released in the US will pack the Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor.

Furthermore, Korean media reported that instead of ISOCELL technology, the phablet will sport a 12MP with Optical Image Stabilization camera paired with 3.7MP front-facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was also rumored to bring forth a UV Sensor and Retina Scanner although Samsung has not confirmed any of these rumors.

Meanwhile, Samsung already confirmed the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date on Sept. 3. This is backed up by the leaked internal memo for Samsung employees that prohibit the filing of vacation leaves from September 3 to September 5 for the Unpacked event as well as between September 15 and September 28, when the phablet hits the retail stores in various markets.

This is way too early compared to the past release dates, which usually takes a month after the launch before the device hit the shelves of carriers and retailers. However, the official specs and features are set to be made public on the launch.
