Samsung just recently unveiled the Galaxy Note 4 alongside the Galaxy Note Edge, but concepts for the successor of the freshly-released phablet have already started to emerge — and they show impressive features. The latest one featuring the future Samsung Galaxy Note 5 boasts a thinner yet wider body. 

The new render was imagined by designer Rishi Ramesh and the next generation of Samsung's phablet was visualized to boast a wider profile that it resembles a tablet more than a smartphone. 

The render's body is made out of metal and is waterproof. The concept also packs a 5.9-inch screen panel with 4K resolution. A 4K display is not impossible as the company has packed the said resolution in Samsung TVs. However, latest rumors claim that Samsung is working on a flexible and foldable display. Thus, the new device might pack the said display. 

Under the hood, the device will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset bound for release early next year and will run with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS or the update of the OS. The phablet will also include a 64 GB internal storage and microSD slot for external storage.

As for the camera, the device will pack a 20-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash, 4K recording, and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. 

Other features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 concept image are UV and heart sensor, Knox security, wireless charging, and 3880 mAh battery capacity. 

The release of Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 will most likely happen in September 2015 just like previous Galaxy Note releases. However, the South Korean tech giant has not commented on the rumors pertaining to the phablet. 

Meanwhile, Samsung will reportedly decrease the number of smartphones it will release next year by one-third in order to reduce the production cost used in manufacturing smartphones and to avoid saturating the market.
