The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is shaping up to be quite a formidable package, at least according to rumor mills. Ever-ardent Samsung tipster Sam Mobile has word that the upcoming phablet will be fitted with a very powerful 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM, making it the first Samsung device to offer the biggest internal memory yet. 

The same report stated that the newest Note will pack the upcoming Exynos 7422 processor, which is touted as Samsung's first true-single chip and is an upgrade to the 7420, the one that's powering up the current Samsung flagships, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. 

Meanwhile, according to GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will boast a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, just like what the S6 and the S6 Edge have. More importantly, the site claims that there will be another version of the device with a curved display. 

The site picked up the idea of the existence of a so-called Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge when it spotted an FAQ page intended for the camera issues of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge sporting two unfamiliar model numbers— N925 and N920F. The possibility that these model numbers belong to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Note 5 Edge is because the Note 4 and the Note Edge went by model numbers N910 and N915, respectively. 

Other rumors about the specs of forthcoming phablet include a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with Optical Image Stabilization and 2160 video capture, a 5.67 Super AMOLED Quad HD display, a 4100 mAh battery unit and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. 

In previous leaks, it was revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will adopt the sophisticated design of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and will have a glass back. It was also estimated to be 10.2 mm thick, taking into account its camera on the back. 

The device is said to be made official by Samsung on Aug. 12 alongside the other rumored Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
