Two of Samsung's latest smartphones, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, were given their first update together last month. Now, it appears that the Korean tech company has rolled out a new update to both devices at the same time.

According to a report from SamMobile, the change log for the updates didn't change much from the previous one. The update takes up almost 100 MB of disk space and brings improvements in terms of the call quality, optimization for battery usage, and enhanced security features, which have already been indicated in the October update.

It was also noted that after getting the latest update, a user will no longer be able to downgrade because of the security policy update.

The new upgrade now carries the November security patch and it reportedly corrects issues of lagging on both devices. Users have claimed that the device would lag once it wakes up but the update fixes this problem.

Another change brought by Samsung's update is the return of the feature known as optical character recognition, or Galaxy Note 5 Smart Select's ability to interpret text. It wasn't revealed how this particular feature disappeared from the device but users have observe that it's now back.

SamMobile also reported that there isn't any notification sent to users that an update has been automatically downloaded. One should manually check for updates and this could mean that the rollout is just very recent and it may not have reached some users just yet.

For those who didn't see any update notification, manually checking can be done by navigating to Settings, choosing About Device, and tapping on Software Update.

More reports on the observed changes are expected to come as more Galaxy Note 2 and S6 Edge Plus users pick up on them.
