No official detail has come from Samsung regarding the upcoming Galaxy Note 5, and while rumors should not be taken at face value, some of the reports surrounding the next Note might have some grain of truth in them.

One of the rumors suggest that the new Galaxy Note 5 will come with advanced security features, including an advanced Touch ID and a retina scanner. This might sound too good to be true, but with progress in smartphone technology, and with the promise of upcoming flagships from phone manufacturers including Samsung to be monsters in terms of specs, advanced security features seem to be not too far off the mark. 

Aside from advanced security features, the upcoming Note 5 is also rumored to boast other notable features in its high-end specs sheet. Apparently, the new Note will also be equipped with the newest Snapdragon 82X processor or a Samsung Exynos 7X chipset, a 4 GB RAM, 4K resolution display, and full metal frame design. The new Note will also have a big 27 MP camera on both front and rear, and will be capable of capturing 8K resolution videos.

The Note 5 is also rumored to come in two versions. the first one will have the standard form in a 5.5-inch variant, while the other one will have an Edge-like display. With the release of the S6 series, it will be no wonder if the new Note series would also have an additional Edge version.

There are no details yet on when the Galaxy Note 5 would be released in the market, although reports are surfacing that the upcoming flagship would be launched in the latter half of the year. If the previous launch of the Galaxy Note 4 is to become a benchmark, the Note 5 would be expected to arrive around September or October this year.
