In terms of the specs, here's the difference between the new Galaxy Note 5 and its predecessors, the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 4.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 phablet had earned the number one spot in the United States, in terms of customer satisfaction, according to a survey conducted by the American Consumer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was commended by smartphone users for its bright and crystal clear 5.7-inch display screen.

Like the Galaxy Note 4, the new Galaxy Note 5 phablet also sports the same 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display screen with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. In addition, both phones also come with fingerprint sensors and S Pen Stylus.

The Galaxy Note 3, on the other hand, sports a 5.7-inch display screen as well, but with a lower 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution quality.

Note 5 comes with a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, like its predecessor, but with an upgraded 5-megapixel camera on the front. The Note 4 only has a 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera.

As for the old Note 3 model, it has a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel camera on the front.

Inside, Samsung decided to use an Exynos 7420 processor for its new Note 5 phablet, along with a 4GB RAM and a massive 128GB internal memory option. Its predecessor uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 and an Exynos 5433, and has a 3GB RAM and 32GB memory.

The previous Note 3 phablet uses Qualcomm's older Snapdragon 800 processor and packs a 3GB RAM and up to 64GB memory.

As for the batteries, the Note 3 has a large 3,200 mAh and its successor comes with a slightly bigger 3,220 mAh battery. The new Note 5 phablet now has a smaller 3,000 mAh battery.
