Earlier this year Samsung's Galaxy Note 4, was commended for its display screen size and pixel quality, according to a survey carried out by the American Consumer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) in the United States. The results, which were collected from smartphone users, showed the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 garnering the number spot among smartphones, ahead of Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The new successor, the Galaxy Note 5, was initially rumored to be unveiled during the IFA 2015 event that will take place in Germany. According to recent reports, however, Samsung will actually unveil the new phone at an earlier date, Aug. 13.

In terms of the specifications, here's the difference between Samsung's upcoming phone and Motorola's Moto X Style handset, which has recently been unveiled and is expected to be launched this September.

Both phones are expected to sport similar screen sizes and pixel resolutions. They will sport 5.7-inch display screens with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolutions. This is also identical to the previous Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 model.

According to GSM Arena, the Galaxy Note 5 will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core processor. It will also have 4GB RAM and up to 32GB internal memory storage.

The Moto X Style, on the other hand, will pack a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 processor, a 3GB RAM, and up to 64GB built-in memory.

In terms of shooting features, the Galaxy Note 5 will have a 16-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front as well. Meanwhile, the Moto X Style will come with a powerful 21-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front.

GSM Arena adds that the S pen for the Note 5 will be placed in the same position like its predecessor, on the bottom. In addition, like the Moto X Style, the Note 5 is expected to be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery as well.
