It is still too early for Samsung to come out with details on its next flagship project. However, the anticipation for the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 is slowly building up, and with it comes supposed leaks and rumors. According to the latest speculations, the Galaxy Note 6 will borrow heavily from the current-gen Galaxy S7 series, including its element-proofing features.

SamMobile reports that according to their inside sources, the Galaxy Note 6 will offer the same dust- and water-resistance features as the Galaxy S7 lineup via an IP68 certification. If this is proven true, then the Galaxy Note 6 will be able to stand being submerged in at least 1 ½ meters of water for up to half an hour without possible damage.

In addition, this will make the Galaxy Note 6 the first one in the lineup to offer dust- and water-resistance proofing features.

However, the industry follower said that it is still too early to tell if Samsung will indeed include an IP68 certification rating as one of the features of the Galaxy Note 6. If the South Korea-based tech giant is indeed looking to borrow some ideas from the Galaxy S7 lineup, then the water- and dust-proofing features may be a shoo-in.

Meanwhile other rumors about the specs of the upcoming flagship continue to float online, and the supposed specs sheet spells the Galaxy Note 6 as a monster of a phablet. According to speculations, the upcoming flagship iteration will offer at least 6 GB of RAM, since Samsung will reportedly place it in the market as a phablet hybrid. In addition, it is also said that the Galaxy Note 6 will come with its own line of accessories, including an improved S Pen and a new phablet dock that will transform the new flagship into a tablet/laptop hybrid.
