Samsung is enjoying the continued success of its latest flagship lineup, the Galaxy S7 series. However, fans are already looking forward to the next top-tier project of the South Korea-based tech giant, the Galaxy Note 6. Speculations and supposed leaks have already started floating online about the next Galaxy Note.

According to SamMobile, Samsung is thinking of stepping up its phablet lineup with the Galaxy Note 6. Rumor has it that the next Galaxy Note may feature a 5.8-inch curved screen, as Samsung is toying with the idea for either curved or flat screen for the Galaxy Note 6. While the flat display is already a tried-and-tested approach for a phablet, a curved display for a Samsung phablet is also highly plausible, thanks to the recent success of the Galaxy S7 Edge.

In addition, it is said that the Galaxy Note 6 will switch from an AMOLED to a "Slim RGB" display.

Aside from having a curved display, Samsung is also thinking of upgrading the usage time for the Galaxy Note 6. Speculations suggest that the next Note phablet will feature a massive 4,000 mAh battery. While remaining unconfirmed to date, a thicker and heavier Galaxy Note 6 may certainly be in the works, since the reported 5.8-inch display is already larger than last year's Galaxy Note 5.

Other purported specs of the Galaxy Note 6 include a step-up processor, expected to be either (or both) a new Exynos processor or the rumored Snapdragon 823 variant, paired with at least 6 GB of RAM. It is said that Samsung is placing the Galaxy Note 6 to be a phablet hybrid, and may come complete with accessories such as a phablet dock that changes the Samsung phablet into a tablet/laptop hybrid.

As for its release date, should Samsung go with its habit of late-year flagship introductions, the Galaxy Note 6 may be revealed as late as September.
