The rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to make it up to the hardcore fans who got upset with the last Galaxy Note 5, which was released in select countries only. It is speculated that the company may do an international release this time around, and will produce a great phone.

According to earlier reports surrounding the upcoming phone, the company is testing out two prototypes, with the same internals but different screen designs. It is said that curved and a flat display screens exist, but only one is going to be the production model.

The latest set of rumors comes from a report from Sam Mobile, where it stated that the publication has confirmed the upcoming Note 6 will be IP68 certified, or water- and dust-resistant. It seems that the Asian tech giant is making this certification a mainstay with their flagship phones. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge that were previously released were also IP68 certified.

Another possible feature that the report pointed out is the inclusion of a USB Type-C port. Since Samsung is already throwing in the best-of-the-best features, the unannounced flagship phone may use the 3.1 version. This version supports USB Power Delivery 2.0 for super-fast charging and will have DisplayPort and HDMI video signals.

Moving on to the other parts of the rumored Note 6, it is said that it will have a 5.8-inch Quad HD display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on the front and back. Additional features include an Always-On display, the latest TouchWIZ UI with Force touch, and an Android N operating system. A 12MP main camera will be coming with it as well.

Know Your Mobile similarly mentioned that the processor going in the premium phablet will be the unannounced quad-core MSMS8996 Pro, or the Snapdragon 823, said to have a clock speed of 2.6 GHz. Supporting the processor is an Adreno 530 GPU and a huge amount of RAM, up to 8GB.

Previously, it was reported to be having a 32GB internal storage and a 4,000 mAh battery. It is unknown if it is removable or not.

Fans are expecting that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will see the light by August.
