A fresh year means fresh releases from the smartphone and tablet industry. Gadget lovers are surely excited to see the new lineup from their favorite tech brands. As for Korean tech giant Samsung, the Galaxy Note 6 is one much anticipated device.

The Galaxy Note 5 is still a fresh entry into the tablet industry, yet rumors are already surrounding the next device in the series, the Galaxy Note 6.

According to Tech Gadget Central's December 2015 report, the Galaxy Note 6 is rumored to be unveiled at the consumer electronics trade show, Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) 2016, which will be held in Berlin in September, as it coincides with Samsung's typical Note series launching.

The tech giant usually unveils its phablets sometime in August or September so it's likely that the next Galaxy Note entry will also be released in those months this year.

The Galaxy Note 6 reportedly will have a wider and much clearer display compared to the previous models, according to Gospel Herald. Specifically, the upcoming tablet is said to have a 4K screen resolution and a foldable screen.

When looking under the hood, the Galaxy Note 6 is said to be considered as one of the most powerful devices to come out this year, according to Tech Gadget Central.

Not only will the tablet have a revamped look, but also significant improvements on the inside. Rumors have it that it will carry a 16-core processor with a speed of 3.1GHz. This still needs to be confirmed, but if proven to be true, it is one machine that's going to be hard to surpass.

Rumors also pointed out that Note 6 will have 8 GB of RAM, with options of 32, 64, and 128 GB for internal storage.

As for the camera, word on the street suggests that the device will have incredible specs — more than 25 megapixels for the main camera and 16 megapixels for the selfie snapper. What's more interesting about the rumored camera is that it has the ability to produce impressive shots under low light conditions.

Then again, these rumors still need to be confirmed, and only then will fans know what Galaxy Note 6 really is about.
