Samsung Galaxy Note 7 specs: new line-up to have a 6-inch screen variant?

Rumor has it that the next Galaxy Note will be revealed on Aug. 2.Sammobile.com

Although it is already expected that Samsung will be coming out with a new Galaxy Note later this year, the specs and features of the upcoming Galaxy Note 7 remain unconfirmed. Speculations suggest that the South Korea-based tech giant will be making some big changes to the new lineup, including making the next Galaxy Note a true phablet with a 6-inch screen.

According to SamMobile, Samsung is reportedly testing a new Galaxy Note 7 that is very different from other purported versions leaked previously. The new Galaxy Note 7 being tested bears the model version number SM-N930R4 and in the listing, it features a 6-inch display. Since the new model has similar model version numbers to the previously reported SM-N930, it can be expected that aside from the display size, most of the purported specs and features remain the same.

Although Samsung has yet to confirm this development, the industry follower believes the prototype may be one of the new variant of the Galaxy Note 7. This is certainly possible, since many flagships have also included bigger iterations such as the ZenFone 3 Ultra from Asus, the Xiaomi Mi Max and the Huawei Mate 8.

Meanwhile, Samsung has yet to come out with confirmed details on the Galaxy Note 7, although rumors suggest that the new flagship lineup will come out as early as next month. Reportedly, the Aug. 2 launch will reveal the new Galaxy Note with either a Snapdragon or Exynos chipset, 6GB of RAM, and new features such as the new S-Pen technology and improved camera, as well as an iris scanner.
