Samsung Galaxy Note 7 release date, specs: Prices tipped to start at €849

Rumor has it that the next Galaxy Note will be revealed on Aug. 2.Sammobile.com

Not much is known about the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7, although the flagship is expected to be revealed next month. However, speculations suggest that the new iteration may well be the priciest Samsung Galaxy Note yet.

According to SamMobile, inside sources claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be at least €50 pricier than the Galaxy S7 edge in Europe, at €849. The industry follower, however, stated that this may still change, particularly for fans who may well decide now to wait a bit longer for the prices to eventually go down.

The Galaxy Note 7 is the latest upcoming flagship from the South Korea-based tech giant. While having similar specs and features with the current Galaxy S7 lineup, the Galaxy Note is long considered to be the top-tier, professional-level series for the Samsung Galaxy lineups. The latest specs sheet for the Galaxy Note 7 is a testament to how premium Samsung wants the new Note to be. Aside from featuring the latest, step-up Exynos and/or Snapdragon processors (there are rumors that the Galaxy Note 7 will come out in both versions), the premium iteration will pack 6GB of RAM. There are also speculations that Samsung will use new technology to get an option for 256GB of onboard storage. There are also supposed improvements to the Galaxy Note 7, such as an iris scanner on top of a fingerprint sensor, and dual-edge display.

While Samsung has yet to come out with official details of the Galaxy Note 7, leaks that allegedly confirm some specs and features have started coming out. Recent images show that the Galaxy Note 7 may pack a 5.8-inch AMOLED screen with QHD resolution, with the three-lens iris scanner on top of the front panel.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is said to appear on Aug. 2.
