Rumor has it that the next Galaxy Note will be revealed on Aug. 2.Sammobile.com

While Samsung has already confirmed that the next flagship the Galaxy Note 7 will be revealed early next month, the South Korea-based tech giant has yet to confirm details on the new iteration. This has led to speculations on its specs and features continuing to make the rounds online.

Just recently, Express UK discovered that a new feature may make its way to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Reportedly, leaked photos suggest that the new flagship will ship out with an always-on display. Already present in the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, the screen feature is expected to figure prominently in the new Galaxy Note, since the lineup is targeted for business and people always on the go. With the always-on display feature, notifications, feedbacks, and information are displayed on the screen even when the device is turned off. This is particularly useful for people who needs details but are on the go, since the feature saves up on power drain.

Meanwhile, since tech maker Qualcomm has already made official the new Snapdragon 821 chipset, it is expected that it will be featured in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. There are also rumors that the new flagship will come out in both top-tier Snapdragon and Exynos chipsets. While Samsung has yet to confirm this, having two versions is certainly possible, as Samsung has already done it with the current-gen Galaxy S7 flagship lineups. Some regions have the Snapdragon 820-powered Galaxy S7, while other markets get the Exynos 8890 variant.

Whichever processor Samsung picks up, it is expected that the Galaxy Note 7 will come with 6GB of RAM and expandable, onboard storage.

It is also expected that the Galaxy Note 7 will come out with an edge display, though recent reports have mentioned Samsung toyed with the idea of a regular screen. According to Phone Arena, there are supposed leaks of an earlier Galaxy Note 7 prototype, and it shows that the new flagship has a flat screen.
