Samsung is out to redeem itself from last year's tragedy that was the Galaxy Note 7.

The South Korean electronics company's flagship handsets, the Galaxy S8 and S8+, have just been unveiled, but it announced recently that the combined pre-orders for both models have already outsold its best-selling phones, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, by a staggering 30 percent, BGR reports.

However, the release of these flagship phones means that there is more to come from Samsung soon. The much-awaited release of the Galaxy Note 8 is expected this year, and now the hype is on for the next model in the Galaxy Note series.

Graphic designer Muhsin M. Belaal Auckburaully collaborated with YouTube channel DBS Designing to illustrate Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy Note 8 in a concept video, taking inspiration from the design for the recently released Galaxy S8, as well as the rumored specs for the upcoming device. According to BGR, these include a 6.4-inch QHD+ display and a screen-to-body ratio more than what the Galaxy S8 has. Other specs also include a dual-lens rear camera setup,  6 GB of RAM, either 64 GB or 12 GB of storage, iris scanner, microSDXC support, and a powerful 4000 mAh battery.

As to when the device will hit the market, the exact release date has not yet been announced, but speculations suggest that it could be in August, or anytime during the second half of 2017. Traditionally, Samsung releases flagship handsets during the first and second half of the year, and since the Galaxy S8 and S8+ have already been rolled out, the market may see the Note 8 later this year.

Rest assured, it will not be anything like the explosive Note 7, which made headlines last year and damaged the electronics company's reputation. "I will bring back a better, safer and very innovative Note 8," Samsung's mobile chief, DJ Koh, told CNET in January.
