Samsung Galaxy Note Edge to be available for U.S. carriers now

The new Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will be available through U.S. carriers on Friday. 

Interested buyers can finally get their hands on the new Samsung Galaxy Note Edge on Nov. 14. AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile will offer the device.AT&T started offering the device and buyers were able to place their orders last Nov. 7. 

The network will offer the device for $945.99 off-contract or shell out $399.99 and sign a two-year commitment to the carrier. AT&T also offers the device through its Next 18 for $39.42 per month, or AT&T Next 12 for $47.30 per month. 

U.S. carriers Sprint and T-Mobile will give consumers a chance to get the device under their wings. Sprint will sell the device for $35 for 24 months and $840 off-contract, while T-Mobile will also offer the Galaxy Note Edge for $36.25 for 24 months or $870 off-contract. 

There is no word yet from Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular whether they will offer the Samsung smartphone. 

According to reports, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will be a limited edition handset. Thus, the device will be available in limited quantities. It packs similar specs and features as its brother, Samsung Galaxy Note 4. One of the main differences of the two is the curved screen display of the Galaxy Note Edge. 

The two phablets were announced last September but the Galaxy Note 4 was released earlier than the other. 

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge packs a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display with QHD (1600 x 2560) resolution, 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC and Adreno 420 graphics chip paired with 3 GB of RAM. The handset also has a 16 MP back camera with optical image stabilization. 

The handset also comes with LTE, HSPA+, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy, IR blaster, NFC, and microUSB 2.0. The Galaxy Note Edge comes with heart rate monitor and a fingerprint sensor embedded into the Home button. Lastly, the phablet runs with Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Samsung's TouchWiz that will be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
