It may not be long before the Samsung Galaxy S4 receives the Android 5.0.1 update as the latest ROM spotted looks pretty much ready for public consumption. 

An Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS update for the Galaxy S4 has been spotted in a Chinese forum, which was immediately picked up by XDA developers and other Android developers. 

This is not the first time that a ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S4 emerged, but this time, the build boasts Android 5.0.1 firmware which will work on GT-I9500, GT-9502, GT-9508, GT-9508v versions. 

However, one of the possible problems of this latest Android build is that it has Chinese language system. Although users can choose the English option, some of the system messages and functions remain in Chinese. Moreover, users are constantly reminded to back up their device as the build will wipe out everything that is in your internal storage.  

The Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS for the Galaxy S4 does not come as a surprise since the Google Play Edition of the handset already got the update. However, Samsung has the reputation of being one of the last Android OEM manufacturers to roll out OS updates. 

Meanwhile, the 5.0.1 version of the Android Lollipop is currently under fire due to bugs and issues that continue to plague the operating system. Some users are still complaining that the devices updated to the aforementioned software are unable to connect to networks, therefore, disabling the Wi-Fi connection. 

Moreover, the new Android update makes the battery of the device drain fast. Others are saying that they lost some data while updating their device over-the-air. Some users just gave up in installing the latest Android 5.0 Lolipop OS as they were unable to complete the installation due to a "missing system.img" error message.
