After issues hindered the first Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S5 users, a new one with a different software version has reportedly been released by Verizon. The new OTA version is expected to be made available soon to Verizon users so it would be best to have a watchful eye for available updates.

The release of the Android 5.0 Lollipop software version G900VVRU1BOA4 comes two months after a supposed Android 5.0 Lollipop version briefly came out but would later on be pulled. That previous update was the G900VVRU1BNLC software version which reportedly brought a lot of issues to users hence the reason behind the suspension of its availability.

This time however, the Android 5.0 Lollipop with software version seems to be more stable and something that would bring updates for both smartphones and tablets.

Among the things to expect would be the ability of users to access apps and Android services to other connected devices. That includes connectivity to screens like TV, cars and wearable devices.

Other than those, new material designs and complex animations are expected from the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update as well as improved runtime.

It remains to be seen on what other updates Android 5.0 Lollipop will have to offer to Samsung Galaxy S5 users. And while they claim that most of the previous issues have been resolved, it may be best to keep a close eye on them as well. Among them include the battery life span, something that other devices have either remained the same or drained the battery more.

The release of the new and improved Android 5.0 Lollipop OS comes at the heels of the release of the Samsung Galaxy S5's successor, the Samsung Galaxy S6. Verizon starts taking pre-orders for the S6 starting April 1.
