Samsung Galaxy S5, S4 will soon receive the upcoming Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update as the company is already testing the firmware.

SamMobile reported that the Android 4.4.3 with build number KTU70 is currently being tested and will arrive to both Exynos and Snapdragon variants of Samsung Galaxy S5 as well as to the LTE-A variant of the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9506A).

The report added that the firmware is being integrated with Samsung's own software and features making its possible roll out date next month or so. This is just in time of Google's schedule if it will roll out the 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update to Nexus and Google Play Edition devices this month. Other Android-based devices will follow suit. It was speculated that the update will roll out in July of later.

SamMobile was quite surprised that the LTE-A version of Samsung Galaxy S4 is testing for the update. It was previously reported that the Android 4.4.2 is actually being tested on that device. However, nothing was released yet. Thus, this could mean that Samsung will skip the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS update and will go ahead with Android 4.4.3.

The report continued that Samsung is on the right track following its time frame in the past. As of the moment, devices such as Galaxy Grand 2, Galaxy Mega 5.8, and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 were reported to be undergoing final testing and should get the Android 4.4.2 update sometime next month. However, these devices could also skip the 4.4.2 update and will get the upcoming 4.4.3 version of Android OS.

It was initially speculated that Google will announce the Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS on May 23. However, the roll out was delayed indefinitely and newer reports stated that we could see the update sometime next month. Reports added that Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS will bring different bug fixes to issues and problems brought about by the previous OS upgrade.
