With the release date of Samsung's Galaxy S6 fast approaching, a number of renders of the device have emerged from different sources. Interestingly, one of them highly resembles the imagined look of HTC's upcoming smartphone, the One M9.

The new Samsung Galaxy S6 render was visualized by concept designer Hasan Kaymak who released a video featuring the device. Kaymak's design highly resembles the physical appearance of other HTC One M9 renders, particularly because of the metal casing, a feature found in HTC devices and rarely in Samsung handsets.

The bezels of the screen are narrow, which will probably make the screen panel a little bigger without increasing the overall size of the device. The imagined handset also sports a front camera with two sensors beside it. The Home button is slightly elongated. Of course, the guessing game is still on as Samsung has not revealed the specifications of the device.

As for the speculated features of the Galaxy S6, Samsung's future offering is purported to boast a screen measuring around 5 to 5.5 inches with a high possibility of quad HD resolution. Other rumored features of the smartphone include 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage variants with microSD slot for additional storage, 16-megapixel rear camera, 3.1-megapixel front-facing camera, and longer battery life.

There are rumors that Samsung ditched Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 SoC and will instead equip its upcoming flagship smartphone with the company's own Exynos 7chipset. The handset, at any rate, will most likely run with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

While Samsung has not confirmed the official specs and features of the handset, it will come to light at the upcoming Unpacked event of the company on March 1, which is a day ahead of the Mobile World Congress. The tech firm delivered the press invite to the media to ensure that it will get much attention.
