Samsung officially announced that its next Unpacked event will happen on Aug. 13 at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York, and that it will be streamed on YouTube and Samsung Tomorrow as it happens.

The company gave no hint as to what it will be unveiling during the event, but media outlets already have an idea what these products could be — the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. There have already been rumors that Samsung will introduce these devices on the said date.

According to GSM Arena, the design of the invite for the event hints that the star of the show will be a handset with a curved display. In the series of leaks involving Samsung's latest products, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus was always depicted to don that kind of screen.

The site adds that alongside the new variant of Samsung's curved flagship, the company will also be releasing a new entry to its acclaimed Note series, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which leaked specs sheets and details indicate to be a mighty phablet.

For a while now, the alleged Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus have been the subject of rumor mills. Both are expected to be equipped with an Exynos 7420 processor which will be paired with 4 GB of RAM. If the latter is true, then the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be the first among all their kin to carry an internal memory of that capacity. And while the bigger S6 Edge is expected to have a curved display, the new Note will come with an S Pen and a look similar to the Galaxy S6.
