The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus still isn't official but Sam Mobile has reported that it will be released soon. According to the tipster, the South Korea-based tech firm will lift the veil off the device on Aug. 12. Then after two weeks, on Aug. 21, store shelves will be filled up with the unit. The tipster also claims that the bigger version of the S6 Edge as well as the rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be released in the U.S. market with Samsung Pay.

Being a version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, the S6 Edge Plus will also don a curved display and will be furnished with 3 GB RAM. It will likely have the same storage options the S6 Edge currently offers, although it is hoped a 64 GB model will be made available as well.

The device won't be using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, as what other speculations claim. Instead, it will be equipped with an Exynos 7420 processor, which the S6 and S6 Edge have. Color options include silver, gold, black, and white, and the battery is likely at 3000 mAh.

In other Samsung-related news, the purported Galaxy Note 5 is reportedly getting an Edge version. The phablet is said to resemble the Galaxy S6 and will take advantage of the flagship's acclaimed classy design.

The Galaxy Note 5 is touted to boast ultra-thin bezels for extra sleekness but will still have a 5.7-inch display, just like what the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has. According to speculations, it also won't have a microSD slot for storage expansion. Last but not the least, it is also being poised to be Samsung's first-ever smartphone to offer up to 4 GB of RAM.
