Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini specs and features: What to expect

While fans are waiting for the release of the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 smartphone before the end of the year, Samsung Electronics is expected to launch a new mini model of the Galaxy S6 flagship sometime within this year as well.

Android Pit reported that the new smartphone might show up by June or July, while others are still uncertain when the phone will be coming out. Vine Report, on the other hand, reported that the phone is in its final stages of testing.

Specs and features of the Galaxy S6 mini had surfaced earlier around the web, claiming a 4.6 inch HD display screen with a 15 mega pixel rear camera. It had also showed up again in India recently, according to a report, with the same features alongside other specs.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 mini is expected to run on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and, in addition to the primary camera, it will have a 4.7 (5) mega pixel camera on the front with a 2576 x 1932 resolution.

The new handset will carry up to 16 GB of internal memory space and 1.7 GB (2 GB) worth of RAM to keep it running. The design of the Samsung Galaxy S6 mini is expected to look like the Galaxy S6 but smaller in size. Inside, the handset is expected to have a Snapdragon 808, which is also being used by LG's recently released LG G4 smartphone.

Samsung Electronics is apparently going full force with the release of its new high-end devices. The South Korean tech giant recently launched another new phone variant, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, which is now available in the U.S. via AT&T.

The newly released Samsung Galaxy S6 Active smartphone is water resistant and comes with endurance and longer battery life. It is suitable for users with active lifestyle, such as athletes, because of its superior performance and extended battery life.
