Some reports are claiming that the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S6 and Sony Xperia Z4 were showcased at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas behind closed doors. Sony and Samsung did not announce any of their smartphones at the event — at least, not publicly — which left some fans disappointed.

Still, according to rumors, carriers already got the first look at the two devices. Sony tipster Ricciolo claimed through a tweet that the Sony Xperia Z4 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 were announced to carriers, including T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. However, there is nothing to back up this claim. Thus, fans should take this with a grain of salt.

With the two devices kept under wraps at the CES, tech enthusiasts are now looking forward to the Mobile World Congress in March, which is most likely be where the products will make an appearance. Samsung will allegedly hold its own press launch for the Galay S6 a day ahead of the MWC, while Sony will reportedly showcase the Xperia Z4 at the event itself.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is speculated to boast a 5-inch screen display with quad HD resolution, Snapdragon 810 SoC or octa-core Exynos 7 chip, 3 GB of RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, and 16-megapixel or 20-megapixel back camera. Its alleged variant with a curved screen display, the Galaxy S6 Edge, is said to be unveiled alongside it.

Meanwhile, the Sony Xperia Z4 is said to have a 5.4-inch quad HD Triluminos display, Snapdragon 810 chipset, 4 GB RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, 21-megapixel Exmor IMX230 camera sensor, 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 3300 mAh battery. The smartphone is expected to be launched alongside a full line of Xperia Z4 variants.

However, nothing is set in stone until the companies announce the devices officially, which, many are hoping, would be soon.
